I thought you and me could use a little help to focus on feeding ourselves right a little more so I created this beautiful Mom’s Food Journal free printable for you.
Moms, we love much, we give much, we do much for everyone around us and very little for ourselves. It’s time to put things in the right priority!
I sketched this journal while sitting at my doctor’s office this afternoon. As I’ve been making over my mornings, I needed something to keep me on track, inspired and motivated and I thought you would like it too!
I liked it so much I’m thinking about expanding it and creating a few more pages. I would love to hear your suggestions! In fact, as I type this, I have already created a full gorgeous Mom’s Bible Journal including a prayer journal, mom’s favorite Bible verses and more! What do you think I should create next? A homeschool daily planner?
I created this Mom’s “Food” Journal in two sizes: Letter size and Happy Planner size. If you don’t know what a Happy Planner is, you can check it out here. Me and My BIG Ideas Hello Life Planner This is the planner I’m using it and loving it. See more Happy Planner goodies here.
If you don’t have a Happy Planner, you can simply print your Mom’s “Food” Journal pages in regular US letter size (front and back) and take it to your local Staples to bind it and make it a pretty planner! I created a beautiful cover for you too.
Here is how I think this Mom’s Food Journal will help us in three important areas I think each one of us need to be focusing on first thing in the morning before we attend to everyone’s need in the house:
1 – Feed Your Spirit! God always comes first because He is the source of everything we need. Also, because His Word will give us the wisdom, inspiration and guidance we will need for the day. So I added a space to write down one Bible verse that spoke to you during your devotional time. Next, write a prayer for YOURSELF! Then, pray for others. I find that by praying for others my faith and encouragement increase substantially beside, I take my focus off my own problems and start focusing on the solutions instead.
2 – Feed Your Soul and Your Mind! What are the things that help you learn and grow every day? Is it a book you read, an audiobook or a podcast you listen to, or a scope that inspires, encourages or challenges you? I love to feed my soul and mind even if just for 5-10 minutes every day. I’m currently reading Hoodwinked: Ten Myths Moms Believe and Why We All Need to Knock It Off for our next book club and The Lifegiving Home: Creating a Place of Belonging and Becoming and listening to Hands Free Mama: A Guide to Putting Down the Phone, Burning the To-Do List, and Letting Go of Perfection to Grasp What Really Matters! on Audible while cleaning, doing laundry, dishes etc. I want to be a better mom and these books are helping me! Don’t even get me started with my favorite podcasts and scopes – they are many!! I’m so grateful for the encouraging online community we have!
3 – Feed Your Body! (2nd FREEBIE!) You read it right! Taking care of your body will help you be a better mom! One because you will be healthier, less stressed out, less sick, less moody, etc and second because you will be setting up a great example to the rest of the family. What you eat matters!! I won’t expand on this one because you know me enough to know that healthy living is a MUST around here and neither junk food nor sugar has a place in my pantry. Above all, this is why I take care of my body: God created in His image, Jesus died for it and the Holy Spirit lives in it, do we need a better reason? Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we need to take better care of it. 😉 I will give you another gift here – just click here to download my 4 Day Mini Spring Clean program. This is my 38 pages jumpstart into a healthy living program, perfect for this time of the year, with tons of info. Make sure you download this shopping list too. You will need it.
With putting-things-in-the-right-priority in mind, I would love to suggest two courses from Crystal Paine that have changed my morning and evenings routine for better!
I really pray this will be a blessing to you – moms! Leave me a comment and let me know how do you like it.
