Homeschooling is a wonderful, worthwhile pursuit, but many homeschool parents struggle with

feelings of burnout and frustration. If you have ever felt this way, you’re not alone! Most of us need to be reminded of the “why” of homeschooling from time to time—but The Unhurried Homeschooler takes parents a step further and lifts the unnecessary burdens that many parents place on themselves.

Drawing on twenty years of homeschooling her eight children, Durenda Wilson gently reminds parents about the things that really matter, as she offers a clear portrait of what a life-giving home life can be during the homeschooling years.

Reading The Unhurried Homeschooler is like having coffee with a trusted friend. You’ll be encouraged as you learn to do what God has put before you. This book will lighten your load while helping you learn how to raise life-long learners and ENJOY the homeschool years with your kids.

If you have read my blog post The Unrushed Homeschooling Life That Creates Memories you would know that this book, even though I read it a week after I wrote it, it’s absolutely aligned with my heart and this is the way I have found to homeschool my kids with peace, joy and confidence.

The Unhurried Homeschooler came to me in the right time! I was weary, exhausted, frustrated and at the edge of burning out completely, always doubting if I was teaching them enough! My kids were overworked, cranky, exhausted and unhappy. This book saved our homeschool, my sanity and my relationship with my children. This is the perfect book for a brand new homeschool mom as well, who wants to start it right and fears not knowing where to begin or how to do it.

This book is only 70 pages long filled with wisdom and I wish I had read it long ago when I first started homeschooling my kids. It is a MUST READ for every homeschooling mother who has been living with fears and doubts if she ever does enough to educate her children.
