This Advent devotional is just what I needed this This Advent devotional is just what I needed this year.❤️🙏🏻
As a Messianic Jew, I love celebrating the birth of Yeshua even though I know he wasn’t born on December 25. Our Christmas are only focused on him. We spend time reading Messianic prophecies pointing to his coming most which are included on my Prince of Peace Hebrew Scripture Study. We never had a Christmas tree, just a simple nativity to remind ourselves of the greatest gift ever given to mankind.
Many years ago, my friend Lindsey, one of my best friends in Prince Edward Island wrote an Advent devotional that impacted me in many ways and she just finished writing A Quiet Christmas: Keeping Silence With the Word inspired by the hymn Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. The guided meditation in her devotional is based on the principles of lectio divina and invite us to receive, engage, be still, and trust. Lindsey is a theologian and a pastor, a Charlotte Mason homeschool mom, a homesteader, a lover of poetry and all things simple and beautiful. She is like a younger version of Sally Clarkson. I miss our tea times and our deep conversations by the fire at her house in the country. You would all love her so much. She has a lovely quiet and wise spirit and so much love for the Lord.
If you need a quiet Christmas and a deeper time with the Lord while reading a short devotional, go grab this from her website. It will bless you and it will bless her so much!

Oh my heart! This amazing Artza box brought me to tears. So beautiful! Every gift is so meaningful and what an opportunity to support awesome small business who are suffering through this war.
Every Artza box I receive bring me closer to Israel. 🇮🇱 I can walk around my house and find something or somethings 😊 from Israel in every room that came from an @artzabox . From home decor to food, from lotions and teas.
This past week we had friends over for Shabbat and we had olives 🫒 from Galilee for snack on the table, pomegranates jam, beautiful fig candles burning, a gorgeous challah bread embroidered cover and many other beautiful Israeli goodies on the table. Our friends were excited to have a taste of Israel with us!
@artzabox are such a special gift to anyone who loves and support Israel!
This is a fantastic subscription box filled with full-size products from small Israeli businesses to help you experience The Land (Artza) with your five senses!!

The Christmas Joy box came with a very special Star of David ✡️ shaped candle holder made of olive wood by a small business in Bethlehem. This item especially brought me to tears.🙏🏻😭
Also, these boxes have been an excellent way to help my Israeli-born children connect with their birthplace, learn more about different regions, and appreciate all the goodness Israel offers!
This is a quarterly subscription box delivered to your door.
If you want to learn more about Israel in your homeschool, Artza boxes will provide unique products your kids can use to experience Israel and include information from the city/region in Israel where those products come from.

Oh my heart! Ariella Hallel is having her Bat Mitz Oh my heart! Ariella Hallel is having her Bat Mitzvah in a couple of weeks. It’s hard to believe the time has come for my mini me to read the Torah in Hebrew and teach her first mini-sermon. She has been working so hard and honestly, mostly on her own. I’m so proud of the beautiful young lady she has become! Rabbi Bernal calls her “our Hebrew scholar in residence.” Looks like she is following on her mother’s footsteps. ;) oh, sweet child of mine, May God use your life in a powerful way!

One of the many blessings we say in the morning is “Baruch Atah Hashem, Elokeinu Melech HaOlam, Matir Asurim,” “Blessed are You, Hashem our G-d, King of the Universe who frees the captives.”
These days I can’t say this blessing without thinking about these children, men and women… May Hashem, the Protector of Israel bring them home safe 🙏🏻

Matthew Paul Miller, known by his Hebrew and stage name @matisyahu , is an American Jewish reggae singer. In this concert in Haifa he asked 3,000 Muslims and Jews (none of whom had met before) to come together and learn the song “One Day” in under an hour.
Not only that, but they learned how to sing and harmonize the lyrics in three different languages.
The resulting concert, which was made in collaboration with Beit HaGefen, the Haifa Municipality, and the Port of Haifa, is a breathtaking display of unity and beauty.
At this time of horrific trauma and violence, we must be reminded of what unites us; our human condition, our beautiful souls and our wish for peace and coexistence.
‘One Day’ we will get to experience a better reality. Together we can make it happen.
