A true friend! Who is not grateful for one in this life? Friends are blessings in our lives.

Lately, I have realized how many people I have in my life to be thankful for and to be encouraged by. It reminded me of the great value of having a true friend.

Friends Are Blessings: 3 Ways To Recognize A True Friend

I am thankful to the women in my life I call friends. A true friend is priceless. Friends sustain you during hardships, they encourage you when you most need a word to lift you and remind you of your worth, your beauty, and your strength even on the days you feel like you have none.

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

A Real Friend is Always Present

I have been blessed with many friends all over the world, friends who have helped me be the person I am today. Friends who inspired me to be better, to learn more, to give it all to the ministry and my family.

My true friends are always present, even those who live far away in different countries and I haven’t seen them personally in more than 5  years. Are they less than true friends just because we can’t meet personally? No! We write to each other, we call each other, we keep each other updated, but most importantly, we still go to each other for encouragement and advice when needed.

True friends show me what great wives and moms look like. They are there for prayers, laughs, and tears when I need them the most. My friends love me on my good days and my bad days just the same. They are the people who have left their marks in my life and they are and will be forever in my heart.

A True Friend Speaks Truth

Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.” Proverbs 27:5-6

My true friends have the right words for every situation. They speak the truth in love and are kind when things were rough. They are also firm when everything else seemed to have crumbled below my feet . Their words help me and guide me in the path God has laid down for me.

Their counsel in wise and their words are sweet like honey. Sometimes their words may sound bitter but they are honest and help me to see the truth that set free me free from lies I believe.

Real friends are not afraid of saying no to me when they know it’s for my own benefit, just like a mother would do for her children. A true friend is not politically correct but honest, truthful and transparent.

A True Friend Is a Gift From God

God created us for fellowship with Him and with others. We need each other to grow, learn, love and care for. Friends are special gifts from God to remind us that we are not alone! They exist to brighten our days with words, actions and smiles.

Real friends hold our hands tight when things are tough and bring us the courage we need to carry on when things are rough. They inspire us to seek God, to see beauty in the ordinary, and to bloom where we are planted.

Friends are true blessings.

They are gifts in the form of human beings. The ones we run to when we need a hug, a word of comfort.

Friends bring light to our darkest moments. They help us get back on our feet when we stumble and fall. Friends don’t judge, they love. They don’t condemn, they encourage. Friends are awesome! They reflect a glimpse of God’s unconditional love for us. True friends don’t envy, they celebrate our victories. They are not jealous. They rejoice with you. True friends love, at all times!

“A friend loves at all times…” Proverbs 17:17
