Shabbat didn’t begin at Sinai. It didn’t start wit Shabbat didn’t begin at Sinai. It didn’t start with Moses. And it isn’t a Jewish tradition. Before there were nations… before there was sin… before there was even a covenant— there was Shabbat. A day God blessed. A day He sanctified. I spent two years researching Shabbat for my Master’s thesis in Biblical Studies—and I can honestly say this: Shabbat has been one of the greatest gifts God has given my life. It’s not legalism. It’s liberation. It’s not a burden.
