One of God’s greatest gifts to a family is faithfu One of God’s greatest gifts to a family is faithful grandparents.
In a culture that often celebrates independence and youth, Scripture reminds us that wisdom is meant to be passed from one generation to the next.
Grandparents don’t just spoil grandchildren—they shape them. Through their stories, prayers, example, and unconditional love, they teach lessons that last a lifetime. They model perseverance, generosity, hospitality, forgiveness, and faithfulness through every season of life.
I know this personally.
Both of my grandmothers had a profound influence on my life. I spent so much time with them growing up, and I even lived with one of them while attending college. They poured into me in countless ways, and many of the values I hold dear today were first nurtured by their love and example.
Sadly, both of my grandfathers passed away from heart attacks when I was still very young. Their time with me was short, which makes me treasure even more the years I shared with my grandmothers.
Now, watching our own children build beautiful relationships with their grandparents is one of my greatest joys. They are learning family stories, practical life skills, and, most importantly, what it looks like to walk faithfully with God over a lifetime.
“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4
A legacy of faith isn’t built in a day. It’s built over generations.
Were your grandparents a special influence in your life? Or if you’re a grandparent, what do you hope your grandchildren will remember most about you? I’d love to read your stories in the comments. ❤️

Happy 4th of July, America. 🇺🇸❤️ Today I’m celebr Happy 4th of July, America. 🇺🇸❤️
Today I’m celebrating a country I was blessed to call home for almost fifteen years.
America is where my parents, my brother, and his family are. It’s where I met Jesus and surrendered my life to Him. It’s where, at 25 years old, I walked through cancer and experienced God’s faithfulness in ways I’ll never forget. It’s where I attended seminary, and where the Lord called me into ministry.
It’s where we made lifelong friends who became family.
It’s where we spent years exploring this incredible nation in our RV, making memories our children will treasure forever. Every winding highway, every small town, every historic landmark, every breathtaking national park, every homeschool conference where I had the privilege of speaking only made us fall even more in love with America the Beautiful.
Leaving two months ago was one of the hardest things we’ve ever done.
We drove away from our home in Florida with hearts that felt shattered. There were so many tears, and if I’m honest, we still miss it every single day.
America will always hold a very special place in my heart. It shaped so much of our family’s story and of my own walk with God. In many ways, it will always feel like home.
Today I’m praying for this nation that has given so much to our family.
Abba,
Thank You for the United States of America. Thank You for the freedoms so many have sacrificed to protect. Thank You for the churches, the communities, and the countless people who faithfully serve You across this nation.
Lord, pour out Your mercy on America. Turn hearts back to You. Raise up leaders who seek wisdom, justice, humility, and truth. Strengthen pastors, missionaries, teachers, first responders, military families, and all those who faithfully serve their neighbors.
Protect this nation. Bring revival to every state, every city, and every home. May the light of Christ shine brightly from coast to coast, and may future generations know and love You above all else.
Bless America with peace, righteousness, and hope.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
God bless America. 🇺🇸
Happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

Are they “real world” ready? They don’t suddenly Are they “real world” ready?
They don’t suddenly enter the “real world” at 18. They’ve been growing into it all along.
As homeschool moms, we often get the question: “But are they prepared for the real world?”
I used to worry about that, too. But watching my teens navigate their first jobs, their first drives, and their first big responsibilities has shown me the truth. Homeschooling isn’t just about the academics in the books—it’s about the character built in the margins. It’s the critical thinking they use to solve a problem, the confidence they find in a conversation, and the wisdom they gain from having the space to grow at their own pace.
If you’re in the thick of those long teen lessons today, remember: those ordinary moments are quietly preparing them for extraordinary milestones.
What is one “adulting” skill your teen has mastered lately that made your heart swell with pride? Let’s celebrate those wins in the comments! 👇

🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦 “And now these three rema 🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” — 1 Corinthians 13:13 🇨🇦❤️
This verse has been on my heart all morning.
Canada has been through some hard years. Many of us have grieved the changes we’ve seen and wondered what the future holds. But as believers, we place our hope in the God who holds this nation in His hands.
And hope isn’t pretending everything is okay. Hope is trusting that even when we can’t see it, God is still moving.
Many of you know our story.
When we left Canada in 2021, I was convinced we would never come back. Truthfully… I didn’t want to.
But the Lord had different plans.
He called us back.
Some days I still don’t understand everything He’s doing, but I know this: we’re not here by accident. We are here because this is where He has called us to be—for such a time as this.
So instead of dwelling on everything that’s broken, I’ve been asking a different question:
“Lord, how can we be part of what You’re doing in Canada?”
Maybe that’s the question He’s inviting all of us to ask.
Will you pray with me today?
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this beautiful nation.
Breathe fresh hope into Canada.
Give wisdom to our leaders. Strengthen our families. Protect our children. Help us to love our neighbours well and to be people who bring light wherever You’ve planted us.
May revival begin in our hearts, overflow into our homes, and spread across this nation—from sea to sea.
We believe You are not finished with Canada.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen. ❤️🇨🇦
Happy Canada Day, friends. May we remain people of faith, hope, and love — in any circumstances and wherever God has placed us.
