Every victory counts! Tonight I cried overwhelmed Every victory counts!
Tonight I cried overwhelmed by the goodness and faithfulness of God. I’m so proud of my kids! This year has been so good and yet so challenging. My son struggled more than ever but he has strived to overcome his disabilities and slain every giant in his way. Tonight, he received a participation award, no medals, no special awards, just a participation award and that was huge for him and for me. A participation award means the child attended classes but did not complete all the book assignments or recited all memory verses. You see, the first three weeks of Awana, my son sobbed not to go. With all his sensory issues and being in the autism spectrum, he much rather stay home in his safe zone than go anywhere else, especially anywhere with people, lots of people. He has a hard time socializing, not because he homeschools but because how his brain works. He is super quiet and shy. It was hard for him to have to speak in front of others. He can get frustrated and overwhelmed easily. Every time he cried, I cried. We had many heart to heart conversations, we looked for ways to help him overcome his anxiety and prayed together for God to help him. And God did! He persevered, Monday after Monday he was there. I watched him every week doing his Awana lessons and walking in circles around our dining room table trying to memorize his verses. He tried so hard! He gave his best! And I’m so proud of him!! So, yes, that participation award meant a lot to me and to him! It meant that he didn’t give up and he pushed through it. He faced his giants, he climbed mountains of obstacles, he finished strong and he will continue to get better.
When we got home, he asked me for a frame to put his certificate on which he is proudly displaying on his bookshelf. He is proud of himself. He knows we’re proud of him. He knows God answers prayers and he knows that pays off to persevere.
I’ve learned to celebrate every small victory in this journey and to give God all the glory for every accomplishment. He is faithful!

🩰Annual Ballet Gala I am so proud of Hadassah 🩰Annual Ballet Gala
I am so proud of Hadassah Liyah and Ariella Hallel!
These two are constantly on their toes doing their piruetes around the house. They count the days for their next ballet class.
Just like their mama, who danced ballet for 13 years, used to do, they unconsciously practice their ballet moves in the kitchen while waiting for anything.
They love ballet!!
They worked hard practicing all year long and tonight they gave their best performing in front of a full audience.
We’re so grateful to have found @selahacademy, a phenomenal ballet school for Christian homeschool families!
I couldn’t be more thankful to Miss Brittany for all she does.
Ballet requires a lot of discipline and dedication.
“The formation of habits is education, and education is the formation of habits.”
- Charlotte M. Mason, Home Education.
Ballet requires the practice of good habits on a regular basis. The habit of good posture, of sleeping well and eating healthy, of perfect execution, among many others.
Many ballet moves were so challenging to both girls and I watched them persevering and trying it again and again until they got it.
“Practice makes perfection.” Tonight, it was pure perfection. Well done, girls! 🎉

I remember this day as if it was yesterday. This w I remember this day as if it was yesterday. This was exactly 4 years ago.
We went for a walk next door to the golf club. The Lord was speaking to me about a few things so strongly in my heart.
This was the day I went live in my Blessed Homeschool Moms FB group and shared the plan the Lord gave me to start a membership to help families put the Lord and His Word first and centered in their lives. If you know me, you know my passion for mentoring moms and for helping homeschool families thrive.
A few days later, I made the official announcement and The Homeschool Sisterhood was launched with 130+ founding members from around the world!
Today, we're over 400 families growing in our faith and homeschooling together!! Some of the "little kids" that joined us from the beginning are now in high school and some are graduating from homeschool this month!
What was only a dream became bigger than I ever dreamed to be possible!
The Homeschool Sisterhood is a Christ-centered and Charlotte Mason-inspired membership program for families and focuses on Bible, missions, apologetics, critical thinking, and enrichment subjects such as music, arts, poetry, nature studies, habit, and character training. We host weekly book clubs and Bible studies for kids, teens, and moms.
These families are thriving!<3
God is using the Sisterhood to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the hearts of their children to their parents. And together, they're turning fully to God.
What is God calling you to do right now?
Step out in faith, friend! You obey and He will lead you every step of the way.
Soli Deo Gloria!
