Time boxing, have you heard of it before?

I don’t know about you, but I find it much easier to organize my stuff than my time. My stuff never resists being thrown out or given away, but my kids and I resist just about everything! As soon as I make a to-do list, a plan, or a schedule, I can bet that it won’t get done. That leads to a frustrated, unhappy mom and kids who suffer from lack of consistency.

Organizing our time so we can get the most important things done is vital to the health of our homeschool. Even a homeschool with only the necessary items in their place will suffer from an overloaded schedule or the inability to fit teaching time in.

I haven’t met a homeschool mom who doesn’t understand this. In fact, homeschool planners and to-do lists are some of the most popular searches on Google. I share some of these on my blog that has been helpful to me and others. But these traditional approaches don’t work for everyone.

Fortunately, there’s another way. It’s called time boxing.

What is time boxing?

Time boxing is halfway between a schedule and a to-do list and it’s a powerful way to organize your homeschool.
