Best Conference Ever! 💛 My last in-person homes Best Conference Ever! 💛
My last in-person homeschool conference of the year was also my favorite! 😍
The @greathomeschoolconventions – Texas at the beautiful Kalahari Resorts in Round Rock is truly a must for every homeschool family in the area! From speaking to packed rooms to connecting with so many amazing parents, this weekend filled my heart to the brim.
One of the biggest highlights? Meeting so many of my students and members of The Homeschool Sisterhood in person for the very first time! 😭 I received the sweetest hugs from fans and followers who stopped by just to tell me how much my emails, courses, and conferences have blessed their families over the years. I’ll never forget those moments.
It was also a joy to spend time with dear friends—old and new—and to celebrate Hilda’s birthday surrounded by books, laughter, and shared purpose. 🎉📚😁
And can we talk about how much fun I had floating on the lazy river with Hannah, who’s been my student for five years?! She and her sweet mama (and my friend) Cassy Satterfield flew all the way here just to spend the weekend with me! 🥹🥰 What an incredible gift.
Grateful. Encouraged. Inspired. This weekend reminded me why I do what I do—and how beautiful this homeschool journey truly is. 💕@highlight #theycallmeblessed
🌿 Wish I had known this sooner… 🌿 After 1 🌿 Wish I had known this sooner… 🌿
After 13 years of homeschooling, I can honestly say this:
I wish I had started these Charlotte Mason practices from the very beginning. 💛
They’ve brought peace, purpose, and beauty into our homeschool in ways I never imagined.
Here are 5 simple practices I wish I had embraced earlier:
📚 Living books over textbooks
🎨 Adding more time for nature + art
🕊️ Embracing short, focused lessons
✍️ Using narration instead of busywork
👩‍👧 Cultivating habits + discipleship before academics
These gentle, life-giving shifts transformed our days—and I know they can do the same for you.
Curious to learn more? I wrote all about them here:

🙏 My heart is heavy with the recent heartbreaki 🙏 My heart is heavy with the recent heartbreaking news out of Texas. I’m praying for the families of the victims and for healing and peace across the state. 💔
🌿✨ I’m heading to Texas this week to speak at the @greathomeschoolconventions in Round Rock — and while I come with a heavy heart, I also come with hope, believing God will use this gathering to bring encouragement, truth, and light to many.
This event is like no other — held at the beautiful Kalahari Resort (yes, with an indoor water park! 🏄‍♀️🌊) and filled with powerful sessions to refuel your homeschool and your heart.
I’ll be presenting four Charlotte Mason-inspired workshops to help you:
✅ Schedule a rich “feast of subjects”
✅ Raise kingdom-minded kids in a culture of confusion
✅ Simplify your homeschool with a proven success path
✅ Make learning fun, meaningful, and unforgettable
This trip is extra special — I’m traveling with my friend Cassy and her daughter Hannah, both longtime members of The Homeschool Sisterhood… and we’re meeting in person for the first time! 🥹💛
✨ You’ll also hear from incredible speakers like:
💬 Dr. Melanie Wilson (my dear friend!)
🎶 Suzanne Gose from Flip Flop Spanish
🖋 Andrew Pudewa
… and many more!
📍 Stop by They Call Me Blessed at booth 618 and say hi — I would love to meet you!
Charlotte Mason called it Mother Culture — and this is your time to step away, be renewed, and rediscover the joy of homeschooling. 🌿

✨ I still remember sitting at my tiny RV table i ✨ I still remember sitting at my tiny RV table in 2019… praying, dreaming, and wondering if homeschool moms would even show up for an online conference about Charlotte Mason.
I had no fancy platform. No big budget. Just a deep passion for Miss Mason’s life-giving philosophy—and a heart to encourage tired, overwhelmed mamas like me.
I pressed "publish" on the first Charlotte Mason Inspired Online Homeschool Conference… and to my amazement, 1500+ moms came. 💗
Since then, God has done immeasurably more than all I could ask or imagine.
Over the past 7 years, this conference has reached thousands of moms around the world—renewing their vision, reviving their hearts, and reminding them that homeschooling can be peaceful, purposeful, and joy-filled. 🌿
Today, I’m so excited (and honestly emotional 😭) to announce that ...
