Ana's Workshop Topics

Scheduling and a Feast of Ideas: Tips to Schedule Your Charlotte Mason Homeschool week. Doesn’t Bible, math, history, geography, science,  reading, spelling, writing, and grammar keep your homeschool day busy enough? How would you also make time for art, handicrafts, foreign language, literature, music, poetry, folk songs, hymn, Plutarch, and even Shakespeare? How many hours a day will your homeschool day last?

Well, what if I tell you that you can do it all and share a feast of ideas with your child daily in only a few hours a day? In this workshop, we will learn Ms. Mason’s concept of spreading a feast of ideas for your child to feed on and the practical steps to schedule this feast of ideas into your homeschool day.

How to homeschool in a world where good is called evil and evil is called good? Since February 2020, we have watched the whole world shut down due to a global pandemic and the beginning of a new world that shockingly resembles a world out of Orwell’s novel 1984 and Huxley’s novel Brave New World.

According to Wikipedia, “Orwellian” is an adjective describing a situation, idea, or societal condition that George Orwell identified as being destructive to the welfare of a free and open society. It denotes an attitude and a brutal policy of draconian control by propaganda, surveillance, disinformation, denial of truth (doublethink), and manipulation of the past, including the “unperson”—a person whose past existence is expunged from the public record and memory, practiced by modern repressive governments.

In Brave New World, the 20th century nuclear familiar is abolished, a world of no sexual morals where in fact promiscuity is required. In Huxley’s Brave New World, science and technology manipulate and enslave humans.

We never thought we would be raising children and home educating them in such a crazy world, but here we are and God has us here for such a time as this! In this workshop, Ana Willis will share with you why and how a Charlotte Mason education is a God-sent tool to raise Kingdom-minded children who do not conform to the patterns of this world but know the truth that sets them free from the evil schemes of this world. It’s time to raise children that will stand strong while facing the giants of their generation.

How to Effectively Teach the Bible Daily

Did you know that 80%-90% of Christian children abandon their faith by the time they get to college? I believe this happens for their lack of knowledge of God and understanding of His Word. Charlotte Mason makes it very clear that the knowledge of God should take absolute priority in our homeschool. Sadly, I often hear moms saying they don’t know how and where to begin teaching their children the Bible. In this workshop, I will share with you what the Word says, what Miss Mason’s advices are, and my own experience as a Bible teacher for almost 20 years. You will leave this workshop with an action plan to daily help your children study and fall in love with God’s Word.

The Riches of A Charlotte Mason Education

Your home education don’t have to taste plain and bland. In this workshop, Ana Willis founder of theycallmeblessed.org and thehomeschoolsisterhood.com will teach you how to add a mix of “spices” that will elevate your kids’ learning time to the richest and most tasteful feast they will beg for more!

This workshop will give you the practical steps and ideas to capture the heart of your child and help him/her fall in love with learning in a fresh new way!

Homeschooling can be very challenging, especially if you are new to it. Have you ever wondered if there was a recipe for successful homeschooling that works for all? How about a simple roadmap to follow with step-by-step instructions? What if I tell you that there is and it’s simpler than you think? There is a success path to follow and in this workshop, I will share the 7Cs of successful homeschooling and guide you through each of them.

Homeschooling, cooking meals, cleaning the house, doing laundry, putting clothes away… day in and day out is exhausting!! No wonder so many moms have been neglecting themselves for years and are experiencing burnout. There is no time left for anything else! Or is there? And homeschooling adds A LOT to our plates, doesn’t it? Some days you even feel like you lost control and you’re losing your mind, just like the mom in this picture, right? Raise your hands if this is you!🙋‍♀️

I know! I’ve been there. And if we’re not careful, we fall back into the busyness trap so easily. But there is hope! And I have the formula to help you run your home and homeschool on autopilot!

In this workshop, I’ll share practical steps to make your life way easier and make more time for taking care of yourself and your health. It’s time to stop just surviving and start thriving in your home and homeschooling.

Charlotte Mason said: “Of the three sorts of knowledge proper to a child, the knowledge of God, of man, and the universe,–the knowledge of God ranks first in importance, is indispensable, and most happy-making.”

If The Knowledge if God should be the most important thing we teach our kids, why is it that we spend so much time on other subjects and how can we make it a complete priority from now on? Join Ana as she gives you daily practical ways to make The Knowledge of God front and center in your Charlotte Mason home education to produce Godly character, spiritual growth, and a legacy for God’s glory.

Welcome, friend!
It will be an honor to speak at your next event!
