Shabbat didn’t begin at Sinai. It didn’t start wit Shabbat didn’t begin at Sinai.
It didn’t start with Moses.
And it isn’t a Jewish tradition.
Before there were nations…
before there was sin…
before there was even a covenant—
there was Shabbat.
A day God blessed.
A day He sanctified.
A sanctuary in time 🌿
Shabbat was the atmosphere of Eden—
and it’s a weekly glimpse of eternity.
Somewhere along the way, much of the Church lost this rhythm.
Not because Yeshua commanded it.
Not because the apostles changed it.
But because man did.
And in losing it, we lost something precious:
God’s rhythm of rest, trust, and presence.
I spent two years researching Shabbat for my Master’s thesis in Biblical Studies—and I can honestly say this:
Shabbat has been one of the greatest gifts God has given my life.
It’s not legalism.
It’s liberation.
It’s not a burden.
It’s belonging.
