A Season of New Things🌱 God has done so many t A Season of New Things🌱 God has done so many things in our lives this past months and it feels like it is finally all coming together. Glory to God! Here is my super quick update: First, I started grad school back in May and I’m loving being back in school even though I was terrified by this idea and I thought I was too old for that. I’m pursuing a Masters in Biblical Studies followed by a Masters in Christian Apologetics and have been blessed with phenomenal professors. So far I’m an A student! 👩‍🎓🎉 Second, I was excitingly surprise to receive an invitation to teach at South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary this term and lo and behold I couldn’t love it more!! I have the largest class with 30 students who are amazing and I’m so proud of their hard work. I’m surrounded by awesome teachers who are so inspiring and encouraging and that makes being at the college every evening until 10 pm less exhausting. Thirdly, after two years looking for a house, we finally found one!! We moved the day before Rosh Hashanah so we could start the new year in the new house, in this new season!🙌🏼🎉 It is still a rental but we have a lot more space and a big backyard where I can garden. The house is in a cul-de-sac and borders a huge park, plus it’s two minutes down the road from our Messianic Synagogue! We can just walk there on Shabbat. Decorating and organizing a new house has always been one of my favorite things. So I did a trip to Hobby Lobby got some home decor items with Scriptures for our living room and I can’t wait to have it all in place to show you. The most exciting part is that I have a blank canvas to work with a redo my homeschool space!! The negative side is that I only have two walls to work with and a dinning table in the middle. So I would love your ideas and input!!🙌🏼 Oh yeah, and we’re starting our new homeschool year this week too. The girls are back in ballet and Awana and they have just started Trail Life and American Heritage Girl. Things are busy around here but I am so happy! It was a long season of prayer and waiting… so if you are in this waiting season right now, don’t be discouraged! It will come! #homeschoolmom
📚 Books that hook teen boys’ attention. My b 📚 Books that hook teen boys’ attention. My boy won’t go anywhere without a book is his hand. But it wasn’t always like that. At age 8 Ben couldn’t put two sounds together and was extremely frustrated trying to read. At first, I blamed myself and thought I had failed him but I didn’t! We found out Ben had convergence insufficiency and we had a wonderful eye doctor that helped his eyes to work together that year. A year later, Ben had read 14 chapter books on his own! Since then, he has fallen in love with reading and has an absolute blast at our weekly book clubs in The Homeschool Sisterhood currently having a Hobbit summer! 🙌😍 Ben’s favorite books are biographies, especially those written by our dear friends Janet and Geoff Benge @ywampublishing, anything Jules Verne, fun adventures and all things military history! He is loving @greatbattlesforboys series by Joe Giorello! Joe blessed Ben with the whole collection a couple of weeks ago! Thanks, Joe! 🙌We’re planning to do a giveaway of Joe’s books soon, so if you have boys who also love books about battles, let me know down in the comments so I can tag you when we do. 🙌 Ben knows everything about war planes, ships, tanks… his dream is to serve in the Israeli Air Force one day. He knows airplanes better than his daddy already. 🤪 For those who don’t know, Ryan is an avionics engineer and served seven years in the South African Air Force. Let’s see if Ben will follow his dad’s footsteps, but for now, his eyes are on his books! Just like his mama! Always with a book in hands. 📖 🪱 😂 What are you teen boys reading?
